Directions

Akaroa is just over an hour (70 km) from Christchurch. The drive gives spectacular views of Akaroa Harbour and the tranquil former French settlement itself. Take highway 75 from Christchurch to Akaroa.

There is a sharp right hand turn as you come into the town. Take the first road on the left after the corner onto rue Grehan. Follow rue Grehan for a kilometre on the sealed section and continue for another 500m along the gravel road. 
Kokopu Estate is on the left, where you will see the 'Kokopu Cottage" sign and the number 155.

For the Gatekeepers Cottage and Potager Suite come in the drive and past Kokopu Cottage, the orchard and on up the hill. At the top of the drive you will see a sign in the garden "Gatekeepers Cottage".

It is not far to the beach from the cottages and there is also a golf course only 15 minutes away.
